Lawrence, Mrs Zilpha E.
Age 76 of 646 Oakwood Drive, Dunedon, Fla., formerly of Elmira and Troy, having moved to Florida in 1969 on Tuesday, August 15, 1978 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs Orlo McCoy of Canton, PA. Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with funeral services there Friday 1 p.m. The Rev Delbert Resmer officiating.
Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will provide their own flowers. She
is survived by her husband, A. Norman Lawrence; daughter, Mrs Orlo (Loreen)
McCoy of Canton; son, Rev. Richard L Hughes, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; step-son
James Hodgkins of Holden, Mass; 12 grandchildren. 9 great grandchildren; one
step-granddaughter; three sisters, Mrs. Angeline Loomis and Mrs Florence
Youmans both of Elmira, Mrs Wilma Ferris of Sayre, Pa.; several nieces and
nephews. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Dunedon, Fla.; Loyal
Chapter No. 265 Order of Eastern Star. She was well-known in the Elmira area
as a private duty nurse for both of the Elmira hospitals. Mrs Lawrence was
born in Troy Twp. on July 23, 1902 the daughter of Charles and Helen Scott
Estep. Mrs Lawrence had a daughter Nina Hughes, who preceded her in death.
